Who we are

International Student Gathering (ISG) is an official Christian campus group for international students at UC Irvine that started in 2018.

We recognize how hard it is for new international students to adjust to being in a new country, so we do our best to provide a home away from home. We're a place where international students can find community, explore the Bible together, and support each other through the ups and downs of life.

We also have fun, eat good food, and build lasting friendships. Join us! Every student is welcome!

Discussing questions about life

College is a time when we grow up and develop as people. We form opinions, build convictions, and try to find our path in life. Because we believe there is more to life than good grades, money, comfort, and pleasure, we like to discuss important questions like: Does life have inherent purpose? Does God exist, and if he does, does it matter? Is it possible to verify whether Christianity, or any religion for that matter, is actually true?

2024.10.18 - We played an intense game of Birthday Battleship 🎂🛳️ where we guessed each other’s birthdays after our discussion based bible study on the book of Luke. Can you guess which team won? 🥇
Happy Halloween 👻🎃! Here are some pics from our Halloween Friday last week where many people carved a pumpkin for the first time 🎃! We also ended the night with pumpkin smashing 🔨💥 where teams smashed their pumpkins using various tools🍴
2024.10.11 - Our first Life Group time where we got to know one another by sharing memorable moments from our lives. We also ended the night with some minute-to-win-it games ⏳
2024.10.04 - Throw back to our beach bonfire 🔥 where we got to know one another well by talking through We’re Not Really Strangers questions, made some smores, and acted out our summers through 1-word skits 🎭

[05.31.2024] Farewell Monika~ So thankful we got to hear your testimony of how God has worked in your life at our End of the Year bible study. We’re sad to see you leave Irvine, but excited for you as you go to Boston!
We celebrated the end of Winter quarter 🙌 with a delicious end of finals meal and learned about the role Pilate played in Jesus’ crucifixion. We then went to Dave and Buster’s where we challenged each other in some arcade games 🕹️💡
